The EPF section alone was worth the whole program for me. I had no idea my nomination details still showed my father from when I opened the account years ago. The facilitator walked us through how to update it, and I did it the next day. Simple thing, but I would not have known without this.

I had been meaning to look into unit trusts for a while but every time I read about them online I ended up more confused. The visual breakdowns in this program made a real difference. I now feel I can have a proper conversation with a financial planner without just nodding along.

The tone of the Credit & Debt program was something I appreciated a lot. I was worried it would feel like a lecture. It did not feel like that at all. The private check-in session was genuinely helpful — I finally understood why my CTOS score was lower than I expected.

I took the Everyday Money Skills program after my sister recommended it. The personal finance organizer folder is genuinely something I still use. Filling it in during the sessions meant I went home with it already set up. The digital banking session was more useful than I expected.

I completed both the Unit Trusts and Credit programs across two different intakes. The facilitators genuinely answered questions specific to our situations. I would have liked a bit more time on ETFs in session four, but overall both programs were well worth attending.

The bank statement session stood out for me. I had been reading my own statements wrong for years — I did not realise how certain charges were categorised. After this I went back through three months and found a subscription charge I had forgotten about completely.

How the Programs Made a Difference
Case Study 01
From Avoidance to Action on EPF
Challenge
A 34-year-old working in the public sector had never checked her EPF account online and was uncertain about whether her emergency fund was adequate. She had avoided looking at financial documents out of general anxiety.
How the Program Helped
Completing Everyday Money Skills in a group setting made reviewing financial documents feel manageable. She set up her i-Akaun access during the digital banking session and discovered a contribution discrepancy she was then able to query.
Outcome
Within two months she had updated her EPF nomination, reviewed three years of bank statements, and set up a monthly savings transfer she had been putting off.
Case Study 02
From Confusion to Confidence on Funds
Challenge
A 28-year-old had invested in a unit trust two years earlier based on an agent's recommendation but did not understand the product. He was unsure whether the fund was performing appropriately and had never read the prospectus.
How the Program Helped
The Unit Trusts & ETFs program gave him tools to interpret his fund's prospectus and compare its expense ratio and performance against its stated benchmark.
Outcome
He used the fund comparison worksheet to evaluate three alternatives and had a far more informed conversation with his advisor. He reported feeling less reliant on others to understand what he owned.
Case Study 03
Understanding a Lower Credit Score
Challenge
A 41-year-old had been declined for a loan refinancing and was told it related to his credit profile. He had no understanding of what CCRIS recorded or why his score might be lower than expected.
How the Program Helped
The Credit & Debt Navigation workshop, combined with the private check-in, helped him identify that a joint account from five years ago was still visible on his CCRIS record and contributing to the issue.
Outcome
Using the action planner provided, he worked through the steps to have the account properly closed. He reported that having a clear ordered list made the process feel manageable rather than overwhelming.
